Our Story

Dalla Vita is an online home and garden shop based in Santa Barbara, CA. Dalla Vita was founded by brother and sister, Cali and Elliott Dunn in 2014. In 2011, the sibling duo discovered they had a shared passion for plants through the passing of their beloved grandmother, Ruby Ann Dunn. At her funeral, Cali noticed a succulent arrangement on her headstone and never having realized the beauty of succulents before, she instantly became fascinated by their unique form and hardiness. Shortly after, her appeal turned into a love for gardening with these plants and Elliott's interest followed. This mutual allure lead them to create Dalla Vita. In Italian, Dalla Vita means “from life”, so naturally this extends into the company's mantra….From Life We Grow. Dalla Vita curates consciously handcrafted items and designs for the enrichment of the home, garden, and styled living. Dalla Vita also offers garden and hardscape design services, with a specialization in drought tolerant and succulent plants.
